About Meadowburn

Meadowburn Farm is a historic dairy that dates back to the 1750’s.  Across Meadowburn Road from the farmstead are the celebrated flower gardens first installed by the renowned garden innovator and writer, Helena Rutherfurd Ely and now undergoing restoration.

The gardens are now open for pre-arranged visits and tours. Check out the nooks and crannies of this website to see some of what we are and what we have for you!

Meadowburn represents working traditions of animal care and rich perennial horticulture. Our farm and gardens are spectacularly set along Wawayanda Creek (the original meadow “burn” or creek) in Warwick and Vernon Valley, in the rural northwest New Jersey-New York borderland.
